RISE TO THE CHALLENGE ON SATURDAY MARCH 20TH
From 12.00 till 5.00 on March 20th the Centre will be open for anyone who wants to spend a little time challenging themselves for Sport Relief. There'll be challenges for everyone...
- For toddlers there’ll be a supervised trail round the centre with simple challenges like running, jumping and throwing.
- Active people of all ages will find a range of light-hearted challenges: how long can you keep the hula-hoop going, how many keepsie-uppies can you kick or baskets can you throw?
- For anyone who wants to get themselves out of breath in a good cause there’ll be skipping and stepping – just be sure that you’re not trying more than is good for you and ask your doctor if you have any doubts.
- There’ll be special 20 minute classes for anyone wanting to try out karate.
- And if all this sounds too exhausting there’ll be a special quiz to challenge your brain.
Activities are free to everyone who comes along with a sponsorship form (see the bottom of the page). If you can't get sponsorship, all we ask is a donation of at least £1 per family to Sport Relief for each activity – apart from the professionally-run karate classes, which cost £5 per person.
If you're being sponsored you can send the money straight to Sport Relief - all the details are on the sponsorship form - or just hand the money in on the day. But please bring your form along with you so we can record how much is raised by the Fun Day.
All the money goes straight to Sport Relief – everyone helping is a volunteer
and all the costs are being covered by the members of St Thomas’ Church.
